Developing the new WordPress site of the World’s premier publisher of film industry information
Boxoffice is the world’s premier source of information about the global cinema industry. As part of a rebrand, BoxOffice were looking to reposition and align the look and feel of two of their country websites, the US and France.
The US site was already built on WordPress and used an off the shelf DailyMagazine theme. The French site was built on a different CMS platform and therefore needed integrating. The solution was a WordPress Multisite built to scale for a dynamic media & publishing company. Working with Webedia’s internal design team, we developed the custom WordPress theme to help achieve a unified frontend look and feel for both sites and an easy to manage publishing experience for both US and French editors.
We took a pragmatic approach, looking for how we could identify a long term solution that could deliver at scale across multiple websites. We did this through solid discovery and working closely alongside multiple product, design and technical stakeholders at Webedia.
Member login area
Users can register on the site for free, or join as a paid subscriber. By logging into the site, users have additional benefits and full subscribers have unlimited access to content and the full range of Box Office Pro resources.
Editors can edit access rights to each resource individually in order to control whether it is available to download by different membership levels.
Easy to Use CMS
Being a complex WordPress multi-language, multisite, ease of use was a priority.
We sculpted WordPress into a highly efficient publishing platform for editors and contributors to be able to easily log in to the Dashboard of the site and add new content, partners, resources, events and more.
