1993 – 2024

1993 is the year our founder Alex was born. Yep, you guessed it – that’s where the ’93’ comes from. In 1993 there were only 130 websites in existence. There are now about 2 billion…

Sep 2013

Alex’s freelance business takes off, so he drops out of university at King’s College London to focus on building 93digital into an agency.

Nov 2013

We open our first office in Marylebone – a dingy basement we painted and re-carpeted in return for cheap rent. Four desks and a Nespresso machine… what else do you need to start an agency?

Feb 2015

Nicola, now our Head of Design & UX, joins the team as a designer and developer. We’re proud that so many of our team have been able to grow with us on our journey.

Apr 2015

At the end of the financial year, 93digital’s turnover grows by 120% on the year before, and the team also begins to grow.

Feb 2016

Having outgrown our first Marylebone office, we need more space, and so we open a new office in Westbourne Studios, just off Portobello Road.

Apr 2016

The financial year end arrives and 93digital turnover has grown 180% on the year before, with 6 new hires joining the team.

May 2017

93digital expand into a brand new office in Farringdon, the heart of London.

93digital is ranked as a Top 100 Independent Agency by The Drum based on financial performance, awards won and client satisfaction. The only specialist WordPress Agency on the list.

Our Head of UX & Design Nicola talks at WordCamp London about what the new Gutenberg WordPress editor means for design.

Oct 2018

93digital’s delivery and technical teams are both nominated in the The Drum’s Agency Business Awards.

93digital become a Living Wage Accredited employer, because we believe that a fair day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay.

93digital achieve WP Engine ‘Strategic Partner’ status, just one of a few agencies in the UK and the only WordPress specialist agency in London with the status at the time.

We’re out of space in our office and on the move again, this time just around the corner to a brand new studio on Gray’s Inn Road. It’s double the size to support our ongoing growth.

Dec 2019

We launch 93x, our specialist digital marketing team at 93digital working just with our B2B tech, software & SaaS clients to deliver SEO & PPC services. Head to 93x.agency to find out more.

July 2020

We won gold! We picked up the top award at the UK Digital Experience Awards 2020 in the ‘Best Website’ category for our work on a very exciting project.

Dec 2020

Despite the uncertainty of a global pandemic, we’re proud we finished the year without any furloughing or redundancies. Instead we had our most successful year in business yet, with our team growing by 5 new full time hires.

Feb 2021

WordPress now powers 40% of the entire internet! Just 5 years ago, the number was 25%. The milestone was reached on 10th February and measured by W3Techs and shows just how much the ecosystem has developed.

March 2021

93digital is appointed a WordPress VIP Partner Agency! A big milestone for all the team. We’re now just 1 of 3 agencies in the UK to be WordPress VIP Partners and WP Engine Strategic Partners.

April 2022

93digital is acquired by Clarity, a leading global marketing and communications agency, giving us an extended range of services and a global presence. From PR and public affairs to analytics, social and content strategy, we’re here to help.

May 2022

We’re moving offices again! This time we’re heading east and into the Clarity office in Shoreditch. We now offer website UX & design, WordPress development & support, digital strategy, SEO, paid, analytics, insight, PR and public affairs.

April 2023

We deliver our first ‘Headless’ website design & build project with the launch of the new Clarity Global website.

We’re the WordPress VIP Agency famous for our work with B2B marketers in B2B technology, professional services, sustainability, FinTech & SaaS clients. We build the sites that drive growth & support the B2B buyer journey from end-to-end.
