Meet the team: Jodi

1. What is your role at 93digital?

Marketing Intern.

2. What does an average day for you look like?

In the morning I’ll go for a big run to kickstart my energy for the rest of the day. After breakfast, I’ll settle at my desk and have a look at my daily objectives. We have a morning standup with everyone at the company to check in and see where everyone is at with their client projects, and to see if theres anything any of the team can do to help each other! After that I’ll often have a meeting with my Marketing Manager Sasha who will teach me something new to add to my role. My day ends with a glass of red and dinner with my friends. 

3. What’s the most challenging part of your job?

It has been a little bit tricky having to meet everyone through a computer, but everyone is so friendly and makes settling in very easy. 

4. Any advice for those who want to do what you do?

It’s all about having confidence and ambition. Identify what you want to achieve and believe in yourself! 

5. What future design and/or technology developments in the industry are you excited about?

I am excited about further developments in business technology to ensure that companies are managing their resources for optimal social responsibility. This includes environmental consciousness, philanthropic endeavours, inclusive hiring schemes, and the psychological welfare of employees. Technology will only make it easier to ensure businesses work toward having an overall positive impact on the world and its people. 

6. What are your passions/hobbies/interests?

I love learning so I’m interested in everything. From painting and photography to embroidery and singing, I keep my life full of challenging activities as I hope to achieve success in many areas. I am currently writing a novel and training for a marathon. 

7. What’s your favourite thing to read in print/online?

Online, r/showerthoughts is my favourite as it makes me think about the little things in life. Offline, at the moment I am enjoying books from the 19th century, as they give you a little snapshot into what life was like so long ago. It’s like travelling in time! I am currently reading Middlemarch, which was written by Mary Ann Evans who used the pseudonym George Eliot. I can’t believe they still print her male name on current versions! 

8. What music is currently trending on your playlist?

Anything smooth with a touch of funk. Anything that keeps me chilled out and rolls with my calm thoughts.

I’m a kiwi that can fly 🙂
